Bonin Bough is Vice President of Global Media and Consumer Engagement at Mondelēz International (formerly Kraft Foods). In this role, Bough oversees all of Kraft’s digital communications, establishes new partnerships with online platforms, manages internal capabilities and develops strategies across the firm’s product portfolio. Bough has over 10 years of experience in the space, ranging from digital strategic planning and project execution to leading and building global practices.
Prior to joining Kraft, Bough was Senior Global Director of Digital and Social Media at PepsiCo. His focus was on developing digital strategy that crosses paid, earned, owned and shared media.
Previously, Bough was the EVP and Director for IPG & Weber Shandwick's global interactive, social and emerging media practice, leading a 100 plus-person global team. During his time at WS he grew the practice from 60 to 100 people including the roll-out of EU and Asia. Bough led strategic programming for the agency's top clients including Federation of Colombian Coffee Growers, Electrolux, MasterCard, Ambien, MAC Aids Fund, Honeywell, and most recently Best Buy.
Prior to WS, Bough was a founding member and SVP at Ruder Finn Interactive (RFI), where he ran the interactive marketing strategy unit for 8 yrs. During which time he led strategy for clients/projects such as Société Générale, Johnson & Johnson Nursing and Caregiver Campaigns, Kellogg's, iUniverse, International Center of Photography, Hunter Douglas, Schering-Plough, Affymetrix, Ready.gov, Novartis, Elidel, Gleevec, Femara, Zometa, Pfizer, Berringer, Perdue and over 70 more engagement projects and campaigns. Bough also developed ePR, the industry's early social media methodology.
In addition to his corporate career, he was a professor at NYU's Center for Publishing Graduate Studies from 2000 - 2005.
