David Schoonover joined Kia Motors America, Inc. in May of 2006. In his role, Schoonover heads Kia's Digital Media, Web and CRM for new vehicle marketing, including creative, mobile and social. During his tenure, Schoonover led the award-winning digital launches of the all-new Kia Soul, Sorento and Optima models which included innovative social, mobile and gaming platforms. Schoonover also lead the ground-up development of Kia.com, Kia's customer database, Kia's sales lead management system, and Kia's social media marketing practice.
A native of Detroit, MI, Mr. Schoonover holds a BBA from Western Michigan University and an MBA from Pepperdine University. Mr. Schoonover is an FAA licensed pilot, and lives in Southern California with his wife and two daughters.
